From Rehearsals to Final Release

Last year, this journey started inside Apple Arts Studios with rehearsals.
Actors stepping onto the motion capture floor.Performance testing.Facial capture calibration.Finger capture setup.Unreal Engine cinematic workflow preparation.
At that stage, none of us imagined how rewarding it would feel to finally see Escaping Esau officially released.

This project became much bigger than a normal motion capture shoot for our entire team.
From the first rehearsal sessions in November 2024 to the final movie capture schedule completed during March 2025, the complete performance capture production pipeline for Escaping Esau was executed inside Apple Arts Studios.

Not just motion capture.
The complete production workflow.
One Complete Performance Capture Pipeline

For Escaping Esau, Apple Arts Studios handled:
• Full Body Motion Capture• Finger Capture• Facial Performance Capture• Motion Capture Post-Processing• Facial Tracking & Retargeting• Unreal Engine Ingest Workflows• Final Cinematic Motion Processing
Everything — from actor rehearsals to final cinematic delivery — moved through Apple Arts Studios.
That is what made this project truly special for us.
The Production Journey Inside Apple Arts Studios

The project began with rehearsal sessions during November 2024 inside Apple Arts Studios, where actors, performances, movement timing, and cinematic sequences were tested within our motion capture environment.
Additional rehearsals and preparation continued through March 2025 before the final movie performance capture production was completed.
The complete movie capture — including body motion capture, finger capture, and facial performance capture — was fully executed inside Apple Arts Studios.
Alongside the motion capture production, our team also handled:
• Motion Capture Cleanup
• Body Retargeting Workflows
• Facial Tracking Workflows
• Facial Retargeting Workflows
• Unreal Engine Integration
• Final Motion Processing
• Cinematic Animation Workflows
This complete performance capture pipeline allowed performances to move efficiently from capture stage to final cinematic delivery while maintaining high-quality animation and detailed performance data.

Motion Capture, Facial Capture & Unreal Engine Workflows

Projects like Escaping Esau continue showing how modern motion capture and performance capture workflows are evolving across filmmaking, cinematic storytelling, virtual production, animation, and Unreal Engine production pipelines.
Today, performance capture workflows are no longer limited to games or animation alone.
Modern cinematic production now depends heavily on:
• Motion Capture• Facial Capture
• Finger Capture• Performance Capture
• Unreal Engine Cinematics
• Virtual Production
• Motion Capture Post-Processing
• Real-Time Production Pipelines
• Performance-Driven Characters
At Apple Arts Studios, we continue building advanced production workflows for:
motion capture services, motion capture studio workflows, performance capture, facial capture, finger capture, motion capture post-processing, Unreal Engine motion capture, cinematic animation workflows, virtual production, AI motion datasets, MetaHuman workflows, and human motion data production.

The Moments Audiences Never See
Projects like Escaping Esau involve far more than what audiences finally see on screen.
Behind every final cinematic shot are months of:
• Rehearsals• Technical Setup• Motion Capture Calibration• Facial Capture Sessions• Performance Refinement• Unreal Engine Integration• Technical Troubleshooting• Motion Capture Cleanup• Retargeting Pipelines• Final Cinematic Processing
A lot of sleepless nights, pressure, planning, teamwork, and problem-solving happen behind the scenes during productions like these.
But finally seeing the completed film released makes the entire journey worth it.

Seeing Apple Arts Studios on the Big Screen

One of the most emotional moments for our team was watching Escaping Esau screened after months of work across the complete performance capture pipeline.
Seeing the Apple Arts Studios name and logo appear on screen after contributing to the full motion capture and post-production workflow felt surreal for the entire team.
Moments like these remind us why we continue pushing motion capture and performance capture workflows further every year.
