India Is About to Have the World’s Biggest Motion Capture Studio — And It’s Coming to Hyderabad
And It's Coming to Hyderabad
Apple Arts Studios | October 2026

"Something extraordinary is on its way to India. And when it arrives — the world will take notice."
We have been building towards this moment for 16 years. Now, for the first time, we are ready to announce it to the world.
Apple Arts Studios is opening the world's biggest motion capture studio — right here in Hyderabad, India. 127 cameras. Full body performance capture. Facial HMC. Techno props. Photogrammetric scanning. All zones. All simultaneous. Nothing like it exists anywhere else on the planet.
This is not a renovation. This is not an upgrade. This is a ground-up build of the most technically advanced motion capture facility ever created — designed from the very beginning to serve the ambitions of the world's most demanding productions.
By the Numbers
127 Motion Capture Cameras | 16+ Years in Industry | 37 Characters — World Record | Studio in India |
127 Cameras. One Volume. Zero Compromises.

Most motion capture studios operate between 20 and 40 cameras. The world's leading facilities max out around 80. We designed ours with 127.
Every camera has a purpose. Every angle is covered. No blind spots. No re-takes because a performer stepped out of frame. The entire volume — from floor to ceiling — is captured in perfect synchrony, every single time.
Outer ring: 48 cameras covering the full perimeter
Mid ring: 36 cameras for cross-capture and depth
Inner ring: 24 cameras for close-performance detail
Overhead ceiling array: 19 cameras for top-down volume coverage
The result is a capture environment where nothing is missed, nothing is lost, and every performance — no matter how subtle or spectacular — is recorded at the highest possible fidelity.
Engineered for Every Performance

The studio floor has been engineered to support every type of motion capture production — from a single-character drama to a full ensemble action sequence involving dozens of performers simultaneously.
Each zone is independently calibrated and simultaneously active. Performers can move freely across the entire volume without reconfiguration, without stopping, and without compromise.
🎯 Zone Configuration Character zone for principal performance • Ensemble zone for multi-performer sequences • Stunt zone with reinforced tracking for high-impact action • Prop zone for object-level capture integration |
This means a director can capture a conversation scene, a fight sequence, and an object interaction — all in the same session, in the same take, without switching setups.
Full Performance Capture — Head to Toe

True performance capture is more than tracking a body moving through space. It's capturing the performance — the intention, the emotion, the split-second physical decisions that make a character come alive on screen.
Apple Arts Studios is built to do exactly that. Every system in our facility is integrated to capture the complete performer — simultaneously, in real time.
Full Body Performance Capture
High-density marker suits with 127-camera coverage track every joint, every muscle group, every micro-movement. The result is body data so clean and detailed that the animation team has everything they need straight from the capture stage.
Facial HMC — Head-Mounted Camera
Our facial capture system uses a head-mounted camera (HMC) positioned precisely to capture every facial expression in isolation — without interference from body movement, lighting changes, or environmental factors. Subtle emotion. Rapid expression. Extreme physical performance. All captured with equal accuracy.
Techno Props Integration
Every prop on our capture floor is a capture asset. Physical objects are tracked and integrated with performer data in real time, so the animation team receives a complete, spatially accurate scene — not just bodies, but the world around them.
Photogrammetric Capture — The Full Picture

Motion capture tells you how something moves. Photogrammetric capture tells you exactly what it looks like — in every detail, from every angle, under every lighting condition.
Our photogrammetric scanning rig creates hyper-accurate 3D models of performers, props, costumes, and environments that plug directly into the production pipeline — no guesswork, no manual retopology from scratch, no lost detail.
📐 Photogrammetric Capture Powers: Digital doubles with photorealistic skin, hair, and costume detail • Asset scanning for props, vehicles, and set pieces • Environment capture for virtual production LED walls • Character scanning for AI, gaming, and XR applications |
The combination of motion capture and photogrammetric scanning in one facility means productions can arrive, capture performance, scan assets, and leave with a complete, production-ready digital package — all under one roof.
We Already Hold the Guinness World Record.
🏆 GUINNESS WORLD RECORD Most Motion Capture Characters — Single Volume — Single Shot 37 characters. Simultaneously. In one volume. In one take. |
We didn't announce this to impress anyone. We announced it because it's what we do — and because it explains exactly why we needed to build the studio we are building.
When your production team is capturing 37 simultaneous characters, you need a facility that can hold that ambition. So we built one. 127 cameras. The world's biggest motion capture studio. A facility designed to house the biggest stories ever told.
16 Years. India's Biggest Projects.
Apple Arts Studios is not a start-up. We are not newcomers to the industry. We have been the unseen force behind 16 years of India's most ambitious productions — working quietly under NDA on projects that set new standards for Indian cinema, gaming, and visual effects.
📁 Our Track Record Feature films — India's biggest blockbusters • OTT productions — major streaming platform originals • Gaming — character and performance capture for global titles • VFX — complex creature and character work for international productions • AI & XR — motion data pipelines for next-generation applications |
We have stayed out of the spotlight because our clients have needed us to. But now, with the world's biggest motion capture studio on the way, it's time for the world to know who we are — and what we are capable of.
Why Hyderabad? Because the Future of Indian Cinema Is Here.
Hyderabad has emerged as the undisputed capital of India's entertainment technology revolution. With the AVGC sector growing at unprecedented speed, a government actively investing in content and technology infrastructure, and a world-class talent pool graduating every year — there is no better place to build the world's biggest motion capture studio.
Apple Arts Studios was founded here. We grew here. And now, we are bringing the world's most advanced motion capture facility to this city — because Hyderabad deserves to be the global capital of performance capture.
Hyderabad. India. The World. The world's biggest motion capture studio — built in the heart of India's creative capital. |
We Are Open for Collaboration — Right Now.
